City of San Antonio Announces Fiesta San Jacinto Holiday Schedule of City Services

The City of San Antonio has announced the Fiesta San Jacinto Holiday Schedule of City Services for Friday, April 26, 2024. According to the announcement, City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed on that day in observance of the holiday. However, public safety and emergency services will continue to operate as usual.

In terms of public safety, the Police, Fire, EMS personnel, and Animal Care Officers will all be on duty to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents.

For general services, the 3-1-1 Call Center will be operational during specific hours for urgent animal concerns and traffic signal malfunctions. However, services like the Housing Assistance Hotline, Homeless Connections Hotline, and Abatement Teams will not be available. Code Enforcement Officers will be available for inspections and emergency coverage.

Regarding waste collection and drop-off services, garbage, recycling, and organics will be collected according to regular schedules. However, certain facilities such as the Bitters Brush site and Bulky Waste drop-off centers will be closed on the holiday.

Several facilities and administrative offices will also have modified schedules. City parks, trails, Municipal Court magistration services, and Doris Griffin Senior Centers will remain open. However, facilities like all library locations, the Animal Care Services Lobby, and various administrative offices will be closed on April 26.

Overall, the City of San Antonio has provided a detailed schedule of services to ensure the smooth operation of essential services during the Fiesta San Jacinto Holiday.
