San Antonio Public Library’s Bazan Branch will reopen at noon on June 10 following the completion of a roof replacement project. The library, located at 2200 W. Commerce St., was closed on April 29 to address hail damage sustained by its metal roof system and downspouts.
The reopening will restore regular service hours at Bazan Branch: Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., and Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The reopening coincides with the ongoing "Summer with SAPL" program, which includes various activities and events scheduled to begin immediately. Patrons can find a full list of upcoming events on the library's website.
Holds will be available for pickup starting June 10, providing patrons access to reserved materials once again.
Bazan Branch Library, originally opened in 1977, is named after Isabel G. Bazan, a former librarian at the San Antonio Public Library. It is situated on the city’s west side near downtown.
