District 3 Councilwoman Invites the Community to Weekend Events

District 3 Councilwoman Phyllis Viagran is partnering with several organizations to host three events this weekend: Juntas, We Can! Food Drive; Spring Clean with D3; and the D3 Women’s History Month Walk & Health Fair.

The Juntas, We Can! Food Drive is a month-long collaborative effort that invites individuals, businesses, and organizations to come together to make a positive impact by donating non-perishable food items and dog food. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, could make a difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity.

Spring Clean with D3 is a pop-up Dial-a-Trailer event aimed to encourage residents to drop off any unwanted bulky items. This Dial-a-trailer will be available this Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to noon inside Brooks on 8193 Challenger Dr.

The D3 Women’s History Month Walk & Health invites the community to stay healthy by coming together for a self-paced walk and by connecting with various health organizations. This event is set for this Saturday, March 23 at the Stinson Airport Trailhead, located at 8535 Mission Rd.

"We believe that by coming together as a community, we can create a ripple effect and alleviate hunger, stay healthy, and make sure we keep our rivers clean in our neighborhood," said the District 3 Councilwoman.

For more information on these events, please call the District 3 office at 210-207-0969 or email council.district3@sanantonio.gov.
