Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) has helped secure $66.3 million in funding toward a Training System Simulator, Recruit Housing & Training Facilities, and an F-16 Mission Training Center that will give Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) new resources to train members of the U.S. military.

“The men and women who every day protect our nation through their service deserve our full support,” Cuellar said in a news release. “This funding will provide JBSA the necessary equipment and resources to prepare for future challenges and strengthen our overall national security. As a senior member of the Defense Subcommittee on Appropriations, I am committed to funding projects at JBSA so they can continue to be a critical asset to our national defense."

Of the $66.3 million, $19.5 million will go toward the Training System Simulator, $36 million will go to the Recruit Housing & Training Facilities, and $10.8 million is for the new F-16 mission Training Center.
