The City of San Antonio's Public Works Department has unveiled its new project dashboards, marking a significant step towards greater transparency and open communication. The user-friendly digital platform aims to keep residents informed about various Public Works-managed projects, including streets, drainage, parks, and facilities.

"We are proud to unveil these upgraded dashboards to our community," stated Public Works Director Razi Hosseini. "They align with our goal of transparency and enhance the ways we share information about our vital infrastructure and construction projects. We are committed to continually improving this tool and welcome feedback from our residents and stakeholders. It is essential for us to meet the needs of our community through such innovative technologies."

The dashboards offer a range of features to enhance user experience. Overview pages allow users to filter projects by type, phase, and status. Additionally, interactive and easily searchable maps provide detailed information on all 2017 and 2022 bond projects, as well as most nonbond-funded projects undertaken by the City. To access the dashboards, residents can visit SA.gov/RoadToProgress and click on "Find a Project."

In a move to further improve communication, the dashboards now include contact information for Public Works staff. This enables residents to directly reach out with any questions or concerns they may have about a specific project. The design and functionality of the dashboards underwent thorough testing, with input from residents, business owners, Council District staff, and City staff.

Furthermore, Public Works has created individual pages for all 2022 Bond projects on SASpeakUp.com. These pages, accessible via the bond projects dashboard, provide additional information about each project, including construction timelines, project costs, and a feedback form. Residents can also sign up for email updates to stay informed about the progress of these projects.

The launch of the project dashboards demonstrates the Public Works Department's commitment to transparency and its dedication to serving the needs of the San Antonio community. With these innovative technologies, residents can easily access and engage with information about the city's infrastructure and construction projects. The dashboards serve as a valuable resource for residents to stay informed, provide feedback, and have their concerns addressed.
