On Tuesday, April 1, former Southwest High School standout Nathan Gamez’s current college team, the Alcorn State Braves, lost 21-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the McNeese State Cowboys.

The game took place at Joe Miller Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Cowboys this season.

The Braves’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2 at 6 p.m. at Willie E. “Rat” McGowan Stadium against Lane Dragons.
