The City of San Antonio is inviting residents to apply for positions on its Building Standards Board (BSB). The application deadline is Friday, October 17, 2025.

The BSB is responsible for reviewing cases involving dangerous structures and properties that violate the San Antonio Property Maintenance Code. It also hears appeals from property owners who have received notices of violation under this code and considers summary abatements. The board makes decisions regarding the interpretation, intent, and application of code requirements.

Hearings are scheduled for Thursdays at 9 a.m. at the Cliff Morton Development and Business Services Center, located at 1901 S. Alamo St., 78204.

Residents interested in serving on the board can find more information or apply through the city’s website. For assistance with applications, individuals can call 210-207-7253 or use the city’s contact form. Additional details about the BSB are available by contacting Board Liaison Judy Croom at Judy.Croom@sanantonio.gov or 210-207-5422.
